Neeharika Rayapareddi

I spent seven years building products and supporting the people who used them. Somewhere along the way I realized the thing I cared about most was the bit in between, the experience around the product. So here I am.

ABOUT ME

I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science and 7+ years of experience in the software industry, across development and product support.

I moved into design because it’s something I always silently cared about in the background, even when I was working in the backend. I often found myself paying attention to the experience of the user and the small decisions that make products feel intuitive or frustrating. That’s when a friend introduced me to Don Norman’s work, and it clicked immediately. It felt like I had finally found the language for something I’d always been interested in. I followed that with Google’s UX certification, which gave me a good foundational understanding of the field and the processes involved in it.

Later, with support from my management, I had the chance to work as a Junior Product Designer while still being a Software Support Engineer. That experience taught me how to design within constraints, make thoughtful trade-offs and how good design always evolves :)

Today, I’m building a career in design with a strong technical understanding of how real products get built and a genuine appreciation for what it takes to build products that users truly enjoy.
